A
proposed legislation by Senators Cornyn and Cuellar proposes the expansion of
the screening process now being applied for unaccompanied Mexican children to
allow for expedited deportations of the surge of refugee children and families
at the US/Mexico border. The UN High Commissioner for Refugees
has reported that this process itself now instituted for Mexican children is a FAILURE.
