Judgment in the case of the J. Arpaio, et al Sheriff of Maricopa County,
Arizona:
In the full exercise of our
responsibility as parents and communities most affected by discriminatory and
racist policies that have violated the Spirit of Peace between us as Indigenous
Mexican Peoples in the territories referenced in the Treaty of Guadalupe
Hidalgo (Mexico-USA 1848) and the authorities of the immigrant republic of the
United States, namely the State of Arizona and the political subdivision
Maricopa County;
Taking into account the fact that these
policies have been inspired in the current era by the pogrom of J. Arpaio who
used his position as Sheriff of Maricopa County to organize raids and hate
campaigns against our peoples and our communities in the County of Maricopa
specifically;
Having received direct testimony and precise evidence of Sheriff Arpaio's actions that have left emotional and psychological trauma upon our children in several public schools in Maricopa County because of the presence of Arpaio in these institutions of public education;
Reaffirming that as in decided in the case of Plyler v. Doe of the US Supreme Court, public education is a collective right that belongs to each and all who are residents of any school district and the question of citizenship or nationality has nothing to do with the responsibility of every parent to comply with the legal requirement to send their children to public school;
Taking into account the recent recommendation of US Federal Judge Murray Snow calling for the appointment of a special prosecutor to proceed with criminal charges against J. Arpaio;

proclaiming that the presence of J. Arpaio is NOT ACCEPTABLE, IT IS NOT PERMITTED, and WILL NOT BE ALLOWED in any public school where we have our children
registered because it would be a criminal violation against the wellbeing of our
children that we take as a criminal act of child abuse.
