Governor Ducey and Republican State Legislators Threaten Arizona
Economy with SB 1070 Mutant Bills

The Barrio Defense Committees, Former elected officials Earl and Mary Rose Wilcox, Lucha, Somos America, and other organizations will hold a press conference to send a very clear message to Governor Ducey and the republican legislators.

Destructive actions by the state legislators will become a disastrous downfall for the economy of Arizona. Community organizer Salvador Reza emphasized, “By signing the bills, Governor Ducey will gain the favor of Donald Trump and take the state into the economic chaos of SB1070. Governor Ducey can stop another possible Boycott of Arizona and the disastrous economic losses by urging legislators not to take legislative action on HB2598 and HCR2036.”

Former Maricopa County Supervisor Mary Rose Wilcox stated, “Divisive legislation takes us back to the Russell Pearce and Sheriff Arpaio’s destructive social turmoil no one wants to repeat.”
