For the Defense of Ancestral Domain and for Self Determination
The Cordillera Peoples Alliance (CPA) from the Philippines
and the International Indigenous Peoples Movement for Self Determination and Liberation (IPMSDL) are in solidarity with you in condemning in the strongest
terms the abduction and enforced disappearance of the 43 students of the
Ayotzinapa School in Guerrero, Mexico. We are one with you in the urgent demand
for justice to the victims and their families and communities and the call to
ensure State accountability and an end to impunity of narco-government agents
who are responsible in the enforced disappearance of the 43 students of
Ayotzinapa.
We have the same situation, as in many parts of the world.
Here in the Philippines, the State has been an instrument of the ruling elite
and their imperialist masters in protecting with brute force the status quo that
serves their interests. Under the current Noynoy Aquino government, an all-out
puppet of the US, from July 2010 to June 2014, there are 204 victims of
extrajudicial killings and 47 of which are indigenous peoples, 207 cases of
frustrated extrajudicial killings, 39,800 victims of forced evacuation, 21
victims of enforced disappearance, 272 illegal arrest without detention, 664
cases of illegal arrest and detention, and thousands who are victims of militarization
and various forms of human rights violations including war crimes.
This State terrorism and crime with the drug cartels is a
testament to the global disorder and chaos under monopoly capitalism led by the
US. Hence, all exploited classes, oppressed peoples and nations of the world must unite in building and
advancing a future free from all forms of exploitation and oppression, State
terrorism and violence, imperialist plunder and aggression; one with social
justice and peoples’ rights are respected.
We have common problems and share the same aspirations. Hence, we must stand in solidarity with each
other. We join you in this global solidarity action and international protest
with the following demands:
1. We demand for the 43 students to be surfaced immediately with life!
2. Prosecution and punishment for all the perpetrators and justice to the victims!
3. Indemnification and support to the families of the victims!
4. Dismantle the drug cartle, ensure State accountability, and end impunity!
